Dawid Andrzej Ławicki (born 1996 in Płock) studied printmaking at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, where he defended his master's thesis in woodcut in 2021. He is currently continuing his education as a doctoral student at UMK, researching the possibilities of achieving both intaglio and relief printing effects from a single matrix - from a technological, formal, and artistic perspective. He primarily creates in the woodcut technique but is also eager to experiment with other graphic methods - including intaglio, collagraphy, linocut, and mokulito. He is also involved in pinhole photography and painting.
He has participated in over 40 exhibitions both in Poland and abroad, as well as received numerous awards in art competitions. He is a recipient of a scholarship from the President of the City of Toruń and the Rector of UMK.
Each woodcut and oil painting is a journey through texture, movement, and color saturation.
